Today I’m finally going to leave London. Now, writing this story, I passed the security check and am relaxing in a lounge.

Before the departure, I packed everything in my backpack and suitcase, including frozen sweets and cosmetics. Also, I enjoyed a Spanish tortilla bought at Lidl as lunch.

I left home at 1:50 pm, almost 20 minutes before the arrival of the train so that I could catch it despite having two suitcases. However, I arrived at the underground station one minute before the train arrived.

To Heathrow Airport, I had to take another train. When I checked my itinerary for the airport, a public transportation app showed that changing a train would take three minutes and my second train would arrive nine minutes later than me. Even though I knew I would take more than five minutes because of my luggage, I thought nine minutes was enough to catch the new train.

However, I didn’t know I had to catch three lifts to get to the train platform to the airport. I ran through the train station pushing my baggage and managed to catch my second train.

Upon my one-and-a-half-hour journey, I finally arrived at Heathrow Airport. This was my second time coming there. The first time was my first day in the UK, last August.

Today’s airline is All Nippon Airways (ANA), one of the finest legacy carriers in Japan. Another one is Japan Airlines (JAL). While I have had a JAL flight, this is my first experience taking an ANA airplane. After graduation from my university, I registered for the ANA FFP and I got an award flight for this time.

I’m concluding today’s story because my boarding gate is going to be unveiled and I have to leave the lounge soon. I’ll apologise in advance because I might be delayed in publishing tomorrow’s story.
